Country Fried Murder
Country Fried Murder: Martha Darnell hosts a songwriting seminar at her old family home in the Colorado Rockies in 2006. The mentor/teacher is a popular country music singer/songwriter: the sometimes charismatic, sometimes abrasive Kyle Samperson. He tears apart the songs that attendees present, says cruel, tactless and insulting things, clashes with a woman from NYC over culture and politics, tells Martha he’s breaking their agreement and leaving early, and he sexually exploits a young, aspiring singer.
